The works consisted of a 51 bed aged care facility and 14 independent living units. The construction included 3 storeys of residential in addition to a basement level incorporating car parking and service areas.
The construction consisted of conventionally formed post tensioned suspended slabs with load bearing internal brickwork to eliminate internal columns, whilst the roof was framed using a combination of structural steel and light steel trusses. Externally the building was finished with face bricks, corrugated metal roofing, aluminium screening, glass balustrading, aluminium sunshading and extensive landscaping.
Unique features of the works included an internal garbage chute system, on site water detention tanks, sandstone clad landscaped walls and a hairdressing salon.
